The session commenced with the welcoming of the judges, Ms. Ruchira Chatterjee, mentor in the secondary section and Ms. Ranjita Sharma, coordinator in the senior secondary section, after which, the Vice Principal, Ms. Madhumita Seal addressed the students emphasising on the importance of effective communication and the key to become a confident speaker. This motivated the young paticipants to step up to the challenge with the determination to make their minute count.

The session progressed with the participants choosing from a wide range of topics, leaving them a little time to gather their thoughts. The topics such as ‘How am I different from others’ and ‘The thing I am grateful in my life for’ not only challenged the participants to express themselves in a well-articulated speech but also prompted them to introspect themselves in ‘just a minute.’
