Sister Nivedita University (SNU) is gearing up to host one of the largest gatherings of media professionals, scholars, and academicians with its highly anticipated III National Media Conclave. Scheduled to be held over three days from September 26 to September 28, the conclave will witness over 90 researchers from more than 40 universities come together to exchange knowledge and ideas under the theme “Media, Communication, and Shifting Professional Codes.”
Organised by the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, this conclave promises to be a melting pot of creativity, research, and discussions. The ever-evolving landscape of media and communication, especially in the context of professional ethics, fact-checking, and digital scrutiny, will be at the core of the conversations.
Highlighting the significance of this event, Dr Minal Pareek, Dean of the School of Media Communications, Fine Arts, and Design, and President of the conclave stated that this conclave reaffirms their commitment to research and bridging the gap between academia and industry.
Prominent figures in the media and academic fields, such as Dr Surbhi Dahiya (HOD, IIMC), Yashwant Rana (Editor-in-Chief, India News), Sahil Joshi (Executive Editor, India Today), Dr Mrinal Chatterjee (Regional Director, IIMC), and Kanchan Dutta (Founder, Inner Circle Advertising) will lead various sessions.
The interdisciplinary nature of the conclave will encourage cross-disciplinary dialogue, with research papers spanning Journalism, Advertising, Sociology, Fine Arts, and Psychology.
