The Sister Nivedita University and Indian Chemical Council commemorated the Birth Anniversary of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray on August 2 and held the 1st Chemistry Olympiad at the SNU campus.

The program included a lecture by Prof. G. D. Yadav, Emeritus Professor of Eminence and Former Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology-Mumbai, on ‘Achieving Sustainability and Net Zero Goals in the New World Order of Hydrogen Economy, Decarbonization, Biomass Valorization, and Plastic Chemical Recycling: Future of the Green Chemical Industry’.

This was followed by a second lecture from Mr. Swapan Kumar Ray, Professor of Practice at Somaiya Vidyavihar University and Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, on ‘Chemical Industry & the Sustainability Paradox’.
