The program included a lecture by Prof. G. D. Yadav, Emeritus Professor of Eminence and Former Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Chemical Technology-Mumbai, on ‘Achieving Sustainability and Net Zero Goals in the New World Order of Hydrogen Economy, Decarbonization, Biomass Valorization, and Plastic Chemical Recycling: Future of the Green Chemical Industry’
This was followed by a second lecture from Mr. Swapan Kumar Ray, Professor of Practice at Somaiya Vidyavihar University and Adjunct Professor at the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, on ‘Chemical Industry & the Sustainability Paradox’

The Sister Nivedita University and Indian Chemical Council commemorated the Birth Anniversary of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray on August 2 and held the 1st Chemistry Olympiad at the SNU campus.

  • First position are G. D. Birla Centre for Education (Madhupi Mukhopadhyay, Rahini Saha, Ditsa Biswas)
  • Second position - South Point High School (Riddhi Senapati, Swastik Roy, Ritujeet Sarkar)
  • Third position – St. Xavier's Collegiate School (Aishik Mukherjee, Aurosri Desarkar, Aaditya Mukherjee

The Winners in the college category were -

  • First position - St.Xavier’s College, Kolkata (Mohar Majumder, Ahana Roy, ⁠Jishnu Sarkar)
  • Second position - St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata (Abhishek Dey, Sanjukta Chatterjee, Sayandeep Dey)
  • Third position - Indian Association for Cultivation of Science , Kolkata (Kaustuv Bag , Mintu Patra, Anirban Das)
