Shobdo Jobdo 2024, a hunt for finding the best school through various interesting games on Bengali words in the form of quizzes was organised by Anandabazar Online at 208 schools across 12 districts of West Bengal. 50,287 students participated in the initial phase of the game.

The aim was to make students fluent and proficient in Bengali language skills and above all, to keep the new generation connected with the roots of their mother tongue.

The final round of Shobdo Jobdo 2024 witnessed an engaging battle of words, with the top schools vying for the prestigious title of Shobdo Jobdo champion.

Lions Calcutta Greater Vidyamandir (South 24 Parganas), secured the first position with a score of 475 while Byabattarhat Adarsha High School (East Medinipur) secured the second position with a score of 470. Hat Sarberia Dr. B.C.Roy Smriti Sikshaniketan (West Medinipur), was announced as the third winner with a score of 420.

This year Lions Calcutta Greater Vidya Mandir emerged as the winner of Shobdo Jobdo 2024 for the third consecutive time. The award was presented to the winners by the chief guest of the event, renowned Bengali literary figure Shishendu Mukhopadhyay.

The Presenting Partner for Shobdo Jobdo 2024 was EIILM Kolkata. The show was powered by Sister Nivedita University (SNU), Trends and Supra Pens. The Associate Partner for the event was Doctor's Choice, 'Comfort Partner' BamChams, 'Confectionery Partner' Test N Bite, Knowledge Partner- Shabda Baji and Snacks Partner Annapurna Swadisht.
