On August 26 and 27, 2022, Guru Nanak Institute of Technology's Department of Electrical Engineering hosted "Samatva", a technology festival. The occasion took place on-site at the university. The Fest's objectives include promoting student involvement in both technical and non-technical activities and exposing aspiring engineers to the business world. 500 people from all around India participated in the festival the year before.

Samatva works to stimulate students' thinking, motivate them to contribute to the most urgent technical and technological problems and provide them with a stage on which to showcase their talent and ingenuity. According to their brochure, in the twenty-first century, young minds should take the initiative to contribute to the creation of a more sustainable and effective way of living and to think creatively because there are no limitations on their abilities.
