This Conclave saw active participation from industry luminaries

Royal Global University’s Royal Centre for Corporate Relations in collaboration with the Royal School of Business, hosted an HR Conclave on 6th October 2023.

Themed on ‘Skills of Future: Preparing Gen Z for the times ahead’, the Key Note Speaker for the day, Mr. Varinder Singh, General Manager – HR for India business-Fortum India, in his interactive session touched upon the importance of focusing and building foundational basics, learning to be courageous, contributions of freshers in landmark campaigns of the industry like the Save Tiger Campaign, building a sustainable ecosystem, the importance of data-its management and its organisation, making the most of resources available in terms of technical knowledge, trends of hiring, and finally summed up his discourse with his pearls of wisdom “the challenge of the world is not employment but employability, i.e. an employee’s ability.”

Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Singh, Vice Chancellor, Royal Global University welcomed the participants with a few couplets. Highlighting the foundational aspect of the varsity’s approach to education, i.e. harnessing not only the Intelligence Quotient (I.Q.) but also the Emotional Quotient (E.Q.), and Social Quotient (S.Q.) of its students, thereby making them industry-ready with Credit Courses like Behavioral Sciences and Communicative English apart from their prescribed academic programs, Prof. Singh encouraged the trailblazers to interact with the Royalites on a one-on-one basis and strive to design a balance between industry and academics.
