A state-level Hackathon competition, Smart Bengal Hackathon (SBH)-2024 will be organized by the RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) on April 16 and 17 2024. RCC Institute of Information Technology is one of the oldest and premier engineering colleges in West Bengal, governed by the not-for-profit autonomous Society of Department of Higher Education, Govt. of West Bengal.
The SBH–2024 will be organized by the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) cell, RCCIIT in collaboration with the Student Welfare Committee (SWC), Alumni Association, and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of RCCIIT. The event is being supported by the Dept. of Information Technology & Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal, Kolkata.
SBH-2024 is set to be a prestigious mega event. This state-level Hackathon aims to foster a culture of product innovation and real-life problem-solving among engineering and school students. It aims to ignite creativity and inspire innovative solutions among the students. Over 1000 student competitors from reputable Science & Engineering Colleges, Universities, and Schools within and outside West Bengal are registered to participate. The grand final round of the event will be held on April 16 and 17 2024 at RCCIIT, Beliaghata campus.
On April 16 more than 40 teams from various schools will compete, while on April 17th, over 80 teams from different colleges and universities will compete to showcase their innovative solutions of the industry-oriented & real-life problem statements.
SBH-2024 is also technically supported by the esteemed organizations including IE(I), IEEE Kolkata section, ISTE, IETE, IEEE EDS, IEEE Women in Engineering, IEEE SSCS, IEEE CAS, Robotic Society of India (RSI), CSI, and others.
