ISPAT ‘Aalor Morshoom’ (Season of lights), was held at Presidency University, Kolkata from 10th to 21st October 2022. The first week of the fest was mostly focussed on the various sports events which included individual events like badminton, chess and cards and group events like cricket, football, and carrom where the students showed their leadership skills and team-playing virtues.
The second week kicked off with various cultural events like debate, 2-minutes-to-fame, antakshari, creative, poetry slam and so on which showed a great number of participations, culminating with the two grand nights on the 20th and 21st of October. While Tarishi Mukherjee got the audience grooving to her melodious tunes on the night of the 20th, the band Shnuopoka was the chief attraction of the 21st night. The band hit all the right notes and got the people dancing and jumping around and gave the fest the most fitting end that it could have possibly had. This fest set the stage for more such events to be held on the Presidency campus in the near future.
Photography
The photography competition was held on 17 October 2022. Participants had to click pictures of the beauty of their choice within the university. The students were really enthusiastic and submitted some amazing shots. The winners were obviously the best among them while others did a great job too.

Dumb charades
Another interesting game which was held as an event of ISPAT on 19 October was dumb charades. Participants gathered at the green zone and had a lot of fun guessing the songs or movies. The winner was declared after three fun rounds.
2 Mins to Fame
Students gathered at the Portico on Oct 19 to participate in the 2 mins to fame competition of ISPAT. Each participant was a delight for the audience to watch. very performance was amused the eyes of the judges making it difficult to declare the winner.
Debate
P. C. Mahalanobis auditorium was echoing with the heated arguments of students as the debate competition of ISPAT was held there on 18 October 2022. Each and every group was excellent in their speeches and arguments. The competition was really enjoyable for the audience as well. After a tough fight between the groups finally, the organizers were able to declare the winners. Audiences acclaimed all the participants.
Creative writing
The creative writing contest was successfully held on the 17th of October at Prangan. It was organized in three languages - English, Bengali and Hindi and the topics for each of the languages were differently set. The event saw a great turnout and a general response from the student body.

Antakshari
On the pleasant afternoon of 17th October 2022, the Green Zone of Presidency University echoed with beautiful music as over fifty students gathered to indulge in a lively Antakshari event. By extending a party game as simple yet fun as Antakshari into the cultural realm of a grand fest, ISPAT made everyone sway to the music of a free-spirited competition. Three exciting rounds kept the participants riveted and cheerful throughout, and the audience flocked around the musically ambient space. While there were two winning teams as per conventions, that day everyone won, as they all sang in unison and merrimaking.
Poetry Slam
To cherish the beauty of self-written poetries, ISPAT organized a Poetry Slam event, which served as a platform for young minds to exhibit their talent and confidence. Participants recited their own poetries in Hindi, Bengali and English and the listeners immensely encouraged them throughout the competition. The judges graced the participants with their sheer knowledge of poetry and gave valuable remarks.
Winners were chosen from each category on the basis of voice modulation, intonation, confidence, pronunciation, and overall presentation. It was a very enriching experience for the spectators and a knowledgeable experience for the participants.

Quiz
On 17 October 2022 around 11 am, the P. C. Mahalanobis stadium was filled with groups of students gathered for the quiz competition of ISPAT. This interactive game became enjoyable for both competitors and audiences. As the rounds got tougher, the game became even more exciting. It was an intense and ecstatic experience. Not only the winning teams got cheers and congratulations from the audiences but also all the other participating groups got loud applause and accolades for their great performances.
Poster making
On 19 October 2022 poster making competition was held at ISPAT. Students gathered in the back - quad area with their art belongings. All participants made great and unique posters catering to the theme. The winners were accoladed by the audience as well as the other participants for their efforts.
Face painting
On 18 October 2022, the back - quad area of the university became a centre of attraction as the face painting competition of ISPAT was being held there. People roaming with their faces painted according to the topic was really a spectacular sight to see. The artists did a great job and the winners were surely competent.
