NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata Group of Institutions has been awarded the highly esteemed grade of 'A+' by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

To celebrate this momentous occasion, NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata organised a CHAMPIONS GALA event on 28 June 2024. The evening was filled with glamour and excitement as the campus community came together to commemorate their success. The event, themed "For The Champions By The Champions," highlighted the spirit of achievement and collaboration that has propelled NSHM Knowledge Campus to greater heights.

NAAC's assessment of NSHM was based on seven parameters: Curricular Aspects, which evaluated the effectiveness of curriculum planning, design, and deployment, including learners' academic performances; Teaching-Learning Evaluation, which assessed pedagogical approaches and student learning outcomes; Research, Innovations, and Extension, which promoted a culture of research and innovation and facilitated relevant extension activities; Infrastructure and Learning Resources, which examined the availability and quality of physical and academic support facilities; Student Support and Progression, which assessed student participation and progression across academic and co-curricular activities; Governance, Leadership, and Management, which evaluated the effectiveness of leadership and governance practices; and Institutional Values and Best Practices, which identified distinctive institutional values and practices that contribute to effective functioning.

The rigorous accreditation process conducted by the NAAC peer team involved a comprehensive assessment of NSHM, including facility inspections and interactions with faculty, administrative staff, students, parents, and alumni.

The event commenced with a series of traditional dance performances, showcasing the rich cultural heritage and diversity that NSHM cherishes. These dances, performed by talented students, added a touch of elegance and cultural pride to the occasion.

The event witnessed the presence of eminent guests such as Mr. Miraj Shah Vice Chairperson, The Bhawanipur Education Society College, Mr. Dharmen Trivedi, along with Dr. Utpal Naresh Patel, Trustee – HCG Charitable Trust and Mr. Cecil Antony, Chief Mentor NSHM Knowledge Campus.

Mr. Miraj Shah, expressed immense pride and joy at this achievement, stating, "Receiving an A+ rating from NAAC is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff, and students. It reflects our commitment to providing quality education and a holistic learning experience. Today's celebration is a reflection of our vibrant campus life and our dedication to nurturing talent in a dynamic and supportive environment."

The seven colours of the theme were chosen to symbolise the various aspects of life at NSHM:

  • Green: Growth and Sustainability
  • Orange: Creativity and Innovation
  • Yellow: Energy and Positivity
  • Violet: Wisdom and Knowledge
  • Blue: Integrity and Trust
  • Red: Passion and Determination
  • Indigo: Insight and Depth

The celebration was also attended by faculty, staff, students, alumni, and esteemed guests, who all joined in to commemorate this significant milestone in NSHM's journey. The vibrant event not only highlighted the institution's achievements but also set the tone for future endeavours aimed at reaching even greater heights.

The award was dedicated to the champions who played a notable role during the NAAC evaluation process. This accolade not only reaffirms NSHM's dedication to providing top-tier education but also enhances the value of degrees from accredited programs, making them more attractive to potential employers who recognise the institution's adherence to stringent quality measures aligned with industry requirements.

Based on the seven parameters evaluated by NAAC, awards were given to teams. Dr. Subir Sen, Principal of NSHM Business School in Kolkata, and Dr. Soumendra Nath Bandhapadhyay, Principal NSHM Institute of Health Sciences, Kolkata were recognised for their exemplary leadership that guided the NAAC team to this prestigious accolade.

Dr. Subir Sen, shared his excitement stating, “From dreaming to persevering, and finally reaching this milestone, we have truly achieved excellence in education.”

Dr. Soumendra Nath Bandhapadhyay, added, "This recognition is not just an award but a validation of our continuous efforts to excel in all aspects of education and student development. We are grateful to everyone who contributed to this success."

Expressing his delight at this monumental achievement, Cecil Antony, Chief Mentor of NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata, shared, "I take great pride in elaborating that the NAAC A+ accreditation places NSHM Knowledge Campus, Kolkata among the top private institutes in India. This accomplishment in the 2nd cycle of the NAAC visit is a testament to the tireless efforts of all our stakeholders, including students, faculty, alumni, and industry partners, who have collectively propelled NSHM to be recognised as a Centre-of-Excellence in Higher Education.
