NIHT's commitment to building careers took a leap forward with Funchaiyat Season 2! A dynamic marketing event presented by Madoverads and NIHT in association with Brands2be. The event brought together 70+ enthusiastic NIHTians with Kolkata's leading industry professionals held at Science City Convention Center on 17 March, 2024.

Esteemed speakers like Suraj Juneja, an angel investor and entrepreneur, shared valuable insights on starting a business. Social media influencer Srishti Nadhani offered tips on building an authentic online presence, while LinkedIn's top voice, Sumit Agarwal, shed light on crafting a powerful LinkedIn profile for career advancement. Rounding out the impressive lineup was Rishav Sadhu, founder and director of Webingo, who provided expert guidance on website design.

The first session was Fans to Franchise where Suraj Juneja says startup success hinges on understanding your strengths, customer needs, and creating a strong community. Focus on impact, gather data, and leverage collaboration to build a loyal fanbase.He quotes “Understand the difference between impressing someone and impacting someone.”

The second session was Beyond boring Bios where Sumit Agarwal says LinkedIn is for building trust and a personal brand. Be authentic, share your experiences, and connect with people in your field. Focus on quality over quantity and leverage your network for growth. He specifically noted to “Stay true to yourself. If you lie on your LinkedIn profile, people will lose trust. That will get you not a fanbase but your tribe.”

The third session was Brand yourself Bold where Srishti Nadhani says Instagram growth involves finding the right influencer, being authentic, and creating relatable content. Network, communicate clearly, and find inspiration but avoid copying. Use stories, trends, and engagement to boost your brand. Srishti quoted “When life throws you a ball, You need to keep growing.”

The last but not the least session was Hook to Click where Rishab says websites should be user-friendly, brand-reflective, and prioritize accessibility. Keep it simple, focus on the user's needs, and learn from successful sites while maintaining brand identity. Rishab concluded by saying that “We are habitual creatures and clients don’t care what other things are written on your website; they only care about the content they want to see.”

The speakers, brimming with experience, spoke from the heart, offering practical advice and inspiring the students. They tackled crucial topics like identifying strengths, navigating the online world, and building a strong brand identity. The interactive session encouraged students to ask questions and gain valuable first-hand knowledge about the industry.
