Banking on its continuous pursuit for academic excellence, KIIT, Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar has achieved a prestigious global recognition and has been ranked among the top six most impactful universities globally and 1st in the country, in terms of the Sustainable Development Goal of 'Reduced Inequalities'.
KIIT University holds the 6th position globally for 'Reduced Inequalities', topping the charts in India. Moreover, it has clinched the 71st spot worldwide for the SDG of 'Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions', being the top ranker in India. On 'Quality Education' index, it stands 55th globally and 5th in India. Additionally, KIIT University also ranks 5th in India for the SDG of 'Partnership for the Goals'.
“KIIT’s position among the world’s most impactful universities in the parameters of Quality Education, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, Reduced Inequalities, and Partnership for the Goals, reflects its enormous contribution in the field over the decades,” said Dr Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS while lauding the historic achievement.
He also congratulated the faculty fraternity of KIIT-DU, staff members and the students for the unique achievement.
With an overall score of 79.3 - 83.9, KIIT is ranked in the 201-300 cohort globally in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024 that celebrate universities which excel across multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The ranking was announced on June 12, 2024.
This unique ranking exercise evaluates the performance of universities across all 17 SDGs.
