On 2nd July, Heritage Group of Institutions in association with Calcutta Debating Circle (CDC) organized an International Debate which was participated by leading institutions of the world namely University of Harvard, USA, University of Cambridge, UK, Yale University, USA and London School of Economics, UK. The debate also witnessed the participation of the students from Heritage Group of Institutions Kolkata namely The Heritage School, Heritage Institute of Technology and others. The debate was moderated by Ms. Heather Robinson, from King’s College, London. The event started off with an exceptional debating workshop organized on the same day by leading Debating Coaches across the world. The Debaters from various Universities and Institutions including Heritage debated on the topic ‘Tinkering with Nature is bound to have repercussions’.
The judges who judged the event were among the leading debaters across the world.
Elena R Udani from The Heritage School Class XI (Humanities Stream) was adjudged as the winner. Hridika Deb from The Heritage School Class XII (science) bagged the first runners-up position and Soham Dutta from B.Tech- Electronics & Communication Engineering department, third year, Heritage Institute of Technology, bagged the second runners-up position.
