The winners of Smart India Hackathon, (SIH) in West Bengal from the Techno India University are Oriental Institute of Science and Technology, West Bengal , Walchand college of engineering, Sangli, BIT, Sindri and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College, Ghaziabad. The winners of West Bengal, Techno Main Saltlake are Bansilal Ramnath Agarwal Charitable Trusts Vishwakarama Institute Of Technology, Apper Indiranagar, Pune, Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandals Dwarkadas J Sanghvi College Of Engineering, ITM University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, Fr Conceicao Rodrigues College Of Engineering, Maharaja Surajmal Institute Of Technology, Delhi, and Dayananda Sagar College Of Engineering, Bengaluru–who won one lakh each for four problem statements. The winners demonstrated unparalleled prowess as the battle of wits unfolded on the vibrant campuses of Techno Main Salt Lake and Techno India University.

Team Contra from Techno India University won at Chhattisgarh and two teams from Techno Main Salt Lake – SpartechX and Invokators won the National level SIH 2023 in two different problem statements at Jaipur and Bengaluru, respectively.

"In the two day Hackathon, we saw a large number of enthusiastic students participating. Each of them has shown exemplary skills & determination and have won. The event, held annually since 2017, offers both SIH Software and SIH Hardware Editions for higher education students.

The scope of SIH has expanded significantly since its inception, with growing participation and enthusiasm evident in students and problem statement providers alike. The grand finale this year boasts over 12,000 participants and 2,500+ mentors, converging at designated nodal centres to tackle real-world problem statements.

The Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education, has identified 47 higher educational institutes/ incubators as Smart India Hackathon nodal centres. These centres play a crucial role in hosting participants and ensuring the event's seamless execution under the watchful eye of designated officers.
