On the 15th of August, the students of Lakshmipat Singhania Academy celebrated the 75th Independence Day of India with great pomp and show. The students gathered bearing their tricolors to celebrate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The whole ceremony was live streamed on Facebook and students of classes 5-12 were also present in the audience. The much-awaited festivities began with a performance of a Hindi patriotic song by the students of classes 3-9. The song truly ignited the spirit of patriotism within all the members of the audience.

To celebrate on the occasion of Independence day, the students and staff of Gems Akademia International School organised a vibrant programme at the school campus. The programme started with the flag hoisting by the Director and Principal of the school, followed by a spectacular Hindi recitation and musical programme along with dance performances.

The students Bhawanipur Gujarati Education Society celebrated Independence Day by hoisting the national flag, followed by a ceremonial march past. They also presented an onstage enactment of the life saga of Birsa Munda, an Indian tribal freedom fighter. This was followed by a cultural program with recitation, songs, and dance performances by the students. Around 200 participants and 500 spectators gathered to make the day memorable.

Students of B.D.M. International School put up a beautiful celebration of the 76th Independence Day, which started with the flag hoisting ceremony. The cultural programme started with encouraging speeches from the esteemed principal, Ms. Madhumita Sengupta, and chief guest, Mr. Amlan Chakrabortti, a chartered accountant and an eye witness to the momentous day in 1947 when India gained independence. This was followed by a stunning dance performance (Teen Rang) by the students of Std. IX to XII, a choral recitation of a Bengali poem, and a vibrant dance-drama on the theme of Youth- the Nation Builder.

On 15 th August, La Martiniere for Boys, Kolkata marked the auspicious occasion of the 75th year of India’s independence with a special tribute to the nation and all the freedom fighters who were martyred in the long and arduous struggle for freedom. The flag hoisting at the ceremony was done by the chief guest Wing Commander Mandeep Hooda, (Chief Public Relation Officer, Ministry of Defence) and was followed by the National anthem and the customary march past by the NCC. There was also an impressive display of dancing, singing and oratory skills dedicated to the nation by the students of the junior, middle and senior section. The event closed with a performance by the school marching band, the only one of its kind in the city.

The Independence Day celebration at Aditya Academy Secondary, Barasat took place keeping in mind the theme for independence day this year, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It was a two day event held from 13 to 15 August. The students marked the special day through various performances like poetry recitation and songs. There was also a special dance performance which ended with the students forming the tricolour flag as a part of the performance, which was the main attraction of the event. The celebrations ended with an Independence day quiz.

Students and teachers of the Seventh Day Adventist Sr Sec School celebrated Independence day with the customary flag hoisting and cultural performances. Students were dressed in uniform, with the performers displaying the national flag. The school premises were beautifully decorated for the occasion in shades of green and saffron.

South City International School celebrated 76th Independence Day in a very special way as it is also the birth anniversary of their chairman Late Mr. S.K. Todi. Tocelebrate the occasion, students from class 3 onwards were present in ethnic attire. The day was packed with cultural events like Inter House Singing Competition for the primary section and Inter House Dance Competition for the secondary students. The teachers presented an audio drama performance on a patriotic theme and parents were also invited to be a part of the celebrations.

As India completed 75 years of her independence, Patha Bhavan School, Kolkata joined in to celebrate the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The programme began with the hoisting of the tri-coloured flag by the Teacher-in-charge of the school. She also delivered an inspiring speech to the gathered audience which included students, guardians and the fellow teachers.

Agrasain Boys’ School celebrated the 75th Independence Day at the school premises with great patriotic fervour and zeal. A cultural programme was organised by the students to showcase the rich and varied heritage of the country and to honour the pious blood drops of the Martyrs. The day was very significant for ABS as the Investiture Ceremony was also held to create leaders for tomorrow to serve with pride and lead with confidence.

The Independence Day celebration at St Augustine’s Day School, Barrackpore, was a grand and colourful event with Flag hoisting and a beautiful cultural program put up by the students across sections on the theme- Nation first, always First. The day witnessed exquisite performances by children of pre-primary to senior school, with more than 200 children performing on stage. There were musical medleys, dance performances, patriotic poems and musical dramas to keep up the patriotic fervour amongst the audience.

MCKV celebrated independence day with an impressive programme comprising the flag-hoisting ceremony and a cultural programme at the school campus on 15 August 2022. An important feature of the day was the Prefects’ Investiture Ceremony which included oath-taking by the newly appointed student leaders. The programme also featured striking mono-acting depicting two freedom fighters –Bhagat Singh and Ram Prasad Bismil, and the distribution of prizes to the winners of inter-house competitions.

Loreto Day School, Bowbazar was lit up with the colours and smiles of freedom as we celebrated 75 years of India's independence with a cultural programme, 'Lehra lo tiranga pyara'. The programme, marked by joy and patriotic fervour, included a prayer service, multi-lingual dances, a moving dance drama on prisoners of war, a medley of songs, a PPT and an exhilarating dance of celebration.

Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School celebrated Independence day with a programme that started with a prayer at 11:00 a.m. The Rector, the Principal, all the teachers and the students graced the occasion. The chief guests were Mr. Soumen Mitra, Former Commissioner of Police, Kolkata & Additional Director General of Police, West Bengal, and Shri Debabrata Das Inspector General of Police, Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy The school Principal addressed the gathering. La Martiniere for Girls commemorated the 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence with the love and pride that burns like a steady flame in every Indian’s heart. The tiniest Martinians of the Nursery Department celebrated the Day dressed in colourful ethnic wear, where they represented the myriad hues of our culturally diverse country. They also sang patriotic songs such as “I love my country India’, ‘Nanha munha rahi hoon’, ‘Saare jahan se acchha’ and our National anthem. Remembering the great heroes of our Nation and the tireless efforts of our defence forces to protect our Motherland, the young Martinians also focused on burning issues such as the empowerment of women and the importance of preserving our environment to leave behind a rich legacy.

Birla High School, left no stone unturned in its endeavor to commemorate and celebrate Independence Day in all its patriotic gaiety and fervour. Major General Chaturvedi; Secretary General of the Vidya Mandir Society hoisted the national flag in the school. He even urged the students to be proud of their unique identity as Indians, and reminded them of their responsibility of taking the nation to greater heights. Students of the school also performed a dance combining Indian classical dances with western beats, portraying a legend from the Hindu text, the Vishnu Puran. The performance was intense, electrifying and immensely appreciated by the audience.

The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with great fervour by the children of Future Hope School. The children presented a medley of skits and dances. The little ones of Junior school dressed up as important historical figures and brought to life the contributions made by them towards India’s independence. The middle school presented a dance called 'Revolution through Freedom’. Two skits were presented which emphasised the historic relevance of ‘BBD Bag’ and ‘Netaji Bhawan’.

Bhavan’s Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir, Kolkata celebrated Independence Day today with great patriotic fervour and zeal. This entailed a short celebration commemorating the 75th Azaadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. Bhasha Sangam, an initiative under the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”, that marks the unique symphony of languages in our country was presented by the students of Class- VI & VII wherein, the students expressed their pride and love for their country in six different languages – Sanskrit, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Assamese and Urdu.

Modern High School celebrated Independence day through various songs Bengali songs like ‘Bidhir Badhon’ and a Tamil song, ‘Ini Accham Accham Illai’ (There is no Fear, Hereafter) as well as dances on ‘Amar Mukti Aloye Aloye’ including a martial dance form on ‘Hum Haar Nahi Maanenge’. The school reflected on the past and celebrated the poets and the writers who had dreamt of an India where equality and secularism paved the way for a glorious future. As India celebrates its 75th year of Independence, the school not only took a step back but also reflected on what we have achieved, thereby incorporating the theme of the year, ‘Learn to Reflect’.

The Cambridge School, Kolkata, celebrated the 75th Independence Day with a youthful exuberance and fervour. Students from both the Junior and Senior Schools came up with their myriads of creative ideas through collaborative classroom activities that had been happening from a week before. Creative Independence Day posters, paintings, innovative slogans made by students from all classes brightened up the school premises along with the hand painted Indian flags, bright tricolour paper flowers, badges,tricolour palm printings made by the little children.

Julien Day School Kolkata, this year celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The program began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Managing Trustee Mrs. S.E. Broughton, followed by the National Anthem sung by all gathered at the event. Commencing the function was a welcome and patriotic speech by the principal Mr. Siddhartha Dey. The students sang a few patriotic songs, and also recited poems in English, Hindi and Bengali.

Sushila Birla Girls' School celebrated Independence Day through a colourful cultural soiree, in the presence of the principal Mrs Koeli Dey, headmistress Mrs Vidisha Panja, members of the teaching faculty and students from classes 6 to 12. The school ground resonated with close to 700 students singing the national anthem during the flag hoisting ceremony. The student choir performed songs, like, 'Sare Jahan Se Acha', 'Dhono Dhanya Pushpo Bhora' and some instrumental pieces, as part of the 75 years celebration of Indian Independence.
