IIM Shillong hosted the first of its kind an “Open Studio” that served as a captivating platform, where the participating artists proudly displayed the culmination of their intense 15-day artistic journey in the form of paintings. The Artists Residency Program proved to be an artistic extravaganza, showcasing exceptional talents and stunning paintings created by the artists who participated in the Artists Residency Program.
The organizers at IIM Shillong expressed their gratitude to all enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and attendees who joined the initiative and could conclude at a mesmerizing Open Studio event held on 30th July 2023. The exhibition was a testament to the artist's dedication, passion, and creativity, inspiring all who witnessed their masterpieces.
It provided an opportunity for these talented individuals to connect with one another, fostering a deeper appreciation for the passion that lies behind every brushstroke. Additionally, the studio showcased a diverse array of artworks contributed by our esteemed faculty and our own talented students, adding a unique flair to the exhibition.

The inauguration of the Open Studio was graced by the esteemed presence of Ms Richa Agarwal, CEO of Emami Art & Chairperson of the Kolkata Centre for Creativity. We were honoured to have Prof. Paula Sengupta, an esteemed Member of the Board of Governors, and Mentor of the Artist Residency Program, among other distinguished guests, who were part of this momentous occasion.
Ms. Richa Agarwal, spoke at the event with the title: "Addressing Business and Heart in ART." Highlighting valuable insights and experiences at the crossroads of creativity and commerce will definitely leave a long-lasting impact on the audience, making it an enlightening session for art enthusiasts, artists, and aspiring entrepreneurs alike.
