The IIM Shillong Foundation for Incubation and Entrepreneurship (IIMSFIE) successfully concluded the second edition of its "Bootcamp for Aspiring Young Entrepreneurs of NER." Supported by the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), this five-day intensive program brought together 100 budding entrepreneurs from the North East, providing a dynamic platform to innovate and transform the region's startup landscape.

Faculty members from IIM Shillong led sessions on developing robust business plans, financial planning, market research, and business modeling. Participants were grouped into specialized clusters such as Agritech, Fintech, Handloom/Handicraft, Tourism, Renewable Energy, IT/ITES, and a mixed group. These groups interacted with industry leaders from esteemed organizations like NESAC, NECTAR, AMTRON, and NIFT Shillong, gaining valuable perspectives and guidance.

A critical aspect of the bootcamp was understanding funding opportunities. Representatives from NEDFi and SIDBI provided in-depth knowledge on accessing financial support for startups. Practical exercises facilitated by experts like Mr Akash Shukla from Google Startup and Mr Dewansh Poddar from FITT, IIT Delhi, included business modeling, pitch deck preparation, and ideation workshops, helping participants turn theoretical concepts into actionable plans.

Fifteen standout ideas were selected for further refinement, guided by seasoned entrepreneurs and industry experts who emphasized resilience, adaptability, and continuous learning.
