The second day kick-started with a webinar on IEEE, membership and what’s next? by Ramneek Karla, IEEE Impact Creator. Next was an online workshop on Coding Blocks that had the students hooked. A webinar on ‘Can photonics be the future playground to support the era of communication revolution?’ was held by Rangana Banerjee Chaudhuri, Marie Curie Sparkle Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Dublin City University, Ireland.

Another webinar was conducted by Sabyasachi Mukhopadhyay, faculty of Data Science, Webel Fujisoft Vara CoE, on Machine Learning. Shrinjoy Chatterjee, a second-year Electronics and Communications Engineering student, and Souyash Dutta, a third-year Computer Science Engineering student, bagged the second position. “We had no preparation at all. We just participated for fun. Halfway through we started enjoying and thought there was a chance of winning,” said Shrinjoy.

Days 4: Seminars, workshops, industry interaction session and closing ceremony

The final day took off with a seminar-cum-workshop by Subodh Gajare, lead solution architect, Cisco, on ‘What is your Big Bold Bet?’. This was followed by an industry interaction session. A cultural programme wrapped up ELEVATE 2022.

“We have been planning for the past three to four months. It was a blissful moment for us to finally see it all fall in place and give a beautiful outcome. This is my last event before I pass out and it was successful. The whole team has worked very hard We were lucky to have many eminent speakers and it ended on a good note,” said Sumedha Ghosh, a fourth-year IT student who is a chair of IEEE IEM Students’ Branch.
