The 5th International Conference on Recent Trends in Business and Entrepreneurial Ventures (ICRTBEV 2022) was organised by Lincoln University College, one of the top private universities in Malaysia on September 22-23, 2022, at Mardhiyyah Hotel & Suites, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. International Journal on Recent Trends in Business and Tourism (IJRTBT), Asia-Pacific Journal of Management and Technology (AJMT), and International Journal of Management and Human Sciences (IJMHS) were the official partners of the conference. The event was held in hybrid mode.
The focal theme of the conference this year was “Sustainable Business and Entrepreneurial Ventures''. The conference brought together high-level public and private sector decision-makers as well as entrepreneurs, investors, and researchers from the Southeast Asian region and abroad.
A research paper on ‘Social Media Marketing: A Few Strategies to Excel,’ presented by two senior professors from Mumbai’s Universal Business School Dr. Indrajit Goswami, and Dr. Karunakar Jha, received tremendous appreciation at this sought-after annual event dedicated to the promotion and presentation of peer-reviewed research. The conference aimed to build a bridge linking start-ups and SMEs to investors, financiers, and corporates in the region; with a view to creating business partnerships and joint ventures. Dr. Indrajit Goswami also delivered the plenary speech on 23rd September 2022.
“Marketers need to leverage the opportunities on social media and convert them into a voice ‘favouring’ a product or service. The strategies presented in the paper may further be tested through empirical studies,” elaborated Dr Indrajit Goswami.
