The competition featured teams from prominent schools including Don Bosco School Siliguri, St Joseph's School Bhaktinagar, Isabella High School, and Nirmala Convent School, among others. Each school was represented by two students, who delivered impassioned arguments on thought-provoking topics. The event kicked off with a harmonious performance by the school choir, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp by the school's founders, Mr Narendra Pakhrin and Mrs Rukmani Pakhrin, symbolising the start of an enriching intellectual journey.

The debate was structured in two intense rounds, moderated by the acclaimed author and motivational speaker, Mr Pranay Gupta. After a competitive preliminary round, six teams advanced to the finals, where they engaged in a closely contested debate that kept the audience on the edge of their seats. The judging panel, comprised of distinguished educators and authors including Mrs Sumana Banerjee Sarkar and Mrs Zinia Mitra, had the challenging task of selecting the winners.
In an unprecedented outcome, St Joseph's School Bhaktinagar and St Xavier's School Siliguri emerged as joint winners, sharing the top honors of the day. The host school, Himalayan English School, secured the first runners-up position, while Mahbert High School took home the second runners-up title. Individual accolades were awarded to Miss Pragya Saha of Sacred Heart School and Master Arghanil Barua of Himalayan English School, who were recognized as the best speakers for and against the motion, respectively.
