This year, the city has witnessed the exuberant & eventful performances and unique presentation of culture, heritage and creativity at Euphonious x Zyzzva 2K23, hosted by Guru Nanak Institute of Technology, Sodepur. Collocating this gala has not only broadened the horizons of a multitude of cultural events & performances, but has also evoked immense participation of thousands of participants from major institutions with numerous winners & runners up on account of a marvellous offline fest after a time-span of two years.
The striking assortment of events has catalysed the involvement of young minds. Euphonious x Zyzzva 2K23 saw a spectacular array of events encompassing 6 genres, and also in-house performances by the talented members of the cultural team. These events aimed to provide a battlefield for the best of the best and also gave the participants an experience for a lifetime.
Day one commenced with the inaugural ceremony, followed by the auspicious lamp-lighting ceremony and the tuneful inaugural song. The first event of the day was Gandhar – the solo-singing contest which saw a series of melodious singers charm the judges & the audience. Next up, was Mudra (solo dancing) where the participants performed with exquisite grace and liveliness. While the auditorium buzzed with these events, mind-blowing bands rocked the stage and set it ablaze on the campus-ground during Collision. The everlasting enthusiasm remained persistent in the audience as they swayed and cheered to the phenomenal in-house performances.
The prime attraction of the first evening of Euphonious x Zyzzva 2K23 was an exclusive live-performance by Anupam Roy, the singing sensation, and his band – the thrill was almost tangible as the audience crooned and grooved to the lilting tunes of THE Anupam Roy, despite the evening drizzles & rain-showers that drenched the arena, absorbing the essence of symphony in the air, with gladdened hearts, swaying to the melodious and ever-so-astounding Anupam Roy. Some hypnotic & unforgettable moments were spent as the audience got lulled into a trance that is not to be recovered from.
The Morphine India Band was also a most awaited part of the second day of this fest. The exhilaration of the night of 31 March was boundless as the crowd buzzed and swayed, rejoicing under the spell of The Morphine India band. Innumerable hands flew up in the air with joy and ecstasy when the speakers boomed with the most popular & favourite numbers. One after the other, the songs kept adding to the groove, and the rhythm maddened the crowd, as everybody had the time of their lives.
Following this, the favourite DJ Koyel's electrifying bass drops kept blasting from the speakers until the thrilled uproar of the audience, their cheers and squeals matched the decibel level of the thumping beats, and synced with their heartbeats. Everybody put their dancing shoes on, let loose their disco souls, as they danced the night away, spectacularly.
The crowd vibed with the rhythm of sound to the fullest. It was a night like no other.
JIS Group is the largest educational conglomerate in eastern India. Guru Nanak Institute of Technology happens to be one such noble institution under the aegis of the JIS Group. It was established in 2003 with the goal of equipping ambitious professionals with technological knowledge and professional competence. The Institute is situated in one of the best areas in North Kolkata, close to Sodepur. With its green campus and strong Educational facilities some of its courses are certified by UGC, AICTE and affiliated to MAKAUT. Guru Nanak Institute of Technology is the first engineering college in West Bengal to Secure NAAC A+ accreditation.
Euphonious x Zyzzva 2k23 was filled with many mesmerising performances and events to cherish the young blood around. It was a chance for them to explore their talents, and to create a beautiful and exciting album of memories. The whole team worked under Teacher Convener Dr. Sucharita Chakraborti, HoD ASHU, Mr. Susovan Dutta, Asst. Prof. Dept. Of EE, Mrs. Palasri Dhar, Asst. Prof. Dept. Of ECE and the entire team under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Santanu Kr. Sen, Principal GNIT. The entire student organising team was led by Mr. Subhasis Ganguly 4th Year EE, Mr. Sagnik Gope, 4th Year CSE, our student conveners, and Mr. Arnab Barman, 4th Year CSE our SPOC. This success was a reflection of incredible teamwork by the team members along with our respected leaders.

Euphonious x Zyzzva 2k23 was a two-day extravaganza filled with dance, music, fun, and entertainment. Several participants from various institutions with their unique talents had joined in the events to make this gala happen! This fest brought with it a refreshing gust , whirling with gusto and everyone had their fill of enjoyment. The days of Euphonious x Zyzzva 2k23 has brought in enlightenment, mirth and promise towards more optimism and entertainment in coming years of Guru Nanak Institute of Technology.
