Dr Mandaviya emphasised that the initiative aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a "Viksit Bharat," aiming to make India a fit and healthy nation by its centennial independence celebration in 2047. He highlighted the environmental and health benefits of cycling, calling it a sustainable solution to pollution and an integral part of a fitness-oriented lifestyle.

The event’s "Sundays on Cycle" concept encourages people, including doctors, journalists, teachers, and youth, to take up cycling for an hour every Sunday in cities and towns nationwide.
