Ecopolemics'23: A Fusion of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Maulana Azad College, Kolkata

Ecopolemics is the annual departmental fest hosted by the Department of Economics, Maulana Azad College in association with its Economics Society. It is a place where norms are challenged to give rise to new ideas. This year the theme is- The Spirit of Entrepreneurship: The Fusion of Innovation and Emancipation. A successful business must unite and inspire people. "Make more money" won't do the trick. "People don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it", Maulana Azad College presents to you ECOPOLEMICS'23. Nestled between economics and lucid creativity the fest has 4 enthralling events lined up on the 26th and 27th of April 2023.

The eminent judges would even codify a panel discussion adorned by Dr. Mou Roy- Associate Professor & HoD Department of Economics, Lady Brabourne College, Shri Bhaskar Ganguly –Ex-Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank, Prof. Ujjwal Chattopadhyay – Department of Economics, Maulana Azad College (Moderator ), Prof. Debabrata Lahiri- Associate Professor of Economics, Hooghly Mohsin College and Dr. Rajib Bhattacharyya - Associate Professor of Economics, Goenka College of Commerce which would be very insightful.

The college will conduct the following events

This requires a clash of words and a presentation of powerful oratory skills.

2. ACE THE CASE (case study)

On the 26th, put your analytical best to use, assessing companies’ strategies under different situations.

3. PEN IT DOWN (creative writing)

Held online, bring out your inner persuader. Let your article do the convincing.

4. BULL VS BEAR (stock trading)

Initiate a trade and show the world how quickly you can predict the unpredictable. The enthusiastic participants and the college together will create an extraordinary experience for all.
