students of all classes at Apeejay School generously donated new clothes and toiletries, which were gifted to the founder and Secretary of Our Association of Remedy, an NGO that works with poor children in Sunderban and other adjoining areas, as well as Arunima Hospice, which offers care and support for HIV-infected and affected children in West Bengal

The Durga Puja programme held at Birla Bharati on 18th of October was an enchanting celebration of the triumph of good over evil. Students and teachers alike came together to pay tribute to Goddess Durga, particularly highlighting the Mahisasur Mardini aspect of the festival.

And it was to celebrate this spirit of "sharing and caring" that the Interact Club of Birla Bharati conducted an event known as "MAHAMAYA" where the teachers and students donated over a 100 sarees to the underprivileged women along with 40 food packets which was distributed among the local primary school children of the Bali Islands, Sunderbans

Some of the dance forms displayed included Garba, Dhunuchi Naach, Kalaripayattu, Manipuri Dhankta and even martial arts. Songs that were played included “Tak Dum Tak Dum Bajai” and “Durge Durge Durgoti Nashini.” The event ended with the merry cry of “Bolo Dugga Mai Ki Joy,” which brought the sweetest of smiles upon all faces
