Sixty participants from four schools of Guwahati – Maria’s Public School, Sanskriti the Gurukul, SBOA, and the host school participated in the event. 
Behes is a non-profit organization under the aegis of Shiksha Sampada Educational Society founded by Salil Singh, an internationally acclaimed debate coach and trainer.

Delhi Public School, Guwahati hosted a two-day knockout debate tournament organised by Behes in Guwahati on 11 and 12 June 2023. Sixty participants from four schools of Guwahati – Maria’s Public School, Sanskriti the Gurukul, SBOA, and the host school participated in the event.

Behes is a non-profit organization under the aegis of Shiksha Sampada Educational Society founded by Salil Singh, an internationally acclaimed debate coach and trainer. With a core team of educators and debate enthusiasts and a huge community of college debaters, Behes works to promote debate, public speaking and reasoned expression in schools and colleges throughout India and beyond.

The event had two categories, CUBS consisting of students in the age group of nine to thirteen years and LIONS having students of fourteen years and above. They participated in teams of three to debate a variety of topics and issues in a free-flowing format.

All topics that were being given were based on a suggested reading list.

In the CUBS category, Sanskriti the Gurukul came first, meanwhile, the host school was declared as the runners-up.

Under the LIONS division, Delhi Public School Guwahati secured the first position, meanwhile, Sanskriti the Gurukul came second.

The winners were lauded with trophies, e-certificates and medals.
