Don Bosco Park Circus To Host War Of The Bands – A Unique Musical Contest

Don Bosco Park Circus will be hosting War Of The Bands curated by Live Your Dreams, a pioneering platform dedicated to nurturing talent. With the stage set to come alive on 13th & 14th January, 2024 at the Don Bosco Park Circus campus in Kolkata, this event promises not just entertainment, but a platform for dreams to soar, bringing together 500+ students from over 100 schools across 10 states across Eastern India.

War Of The Bands is created to give the past pupils and the present generations, something beautiful to strive towards, something that will remain etched in their hearts forever. Each participating team will have. present students and past students, performing any genre of music. A school can have multiple teams participating in the contest. Online Registration is open for participation till 14th November, 2023 and submission of nominations can be done online through www.warofthebands.com and submission of nominations can be done online from 15th November - 14th December, 2023.

The Top 25 Teams will be announced by the end of December, 2023. On 13th January, 2024, these 25 teams will compete to reach the grand finale to be held on 14th January, 2023.

"The essence of War Of The Bands extends beyond mere competition; it embodies a harmonious convergence between alumni and current students of various schools, achieved through the medium of music. The event's overarching objective is to offer a platform that amplifies the voices that often remain unheard, fostering a bridge of harmony amidst different strata of society. The resounding melodies will transcend musical notes, instead resonating as the collective pulse of youthful spirits, igniting their fervour and aspirations", said Rev Father Bikash Mondal, Principal, Don Bosco Park Circus.

A portion of the proceeds from the War Of The Bands will be used to bridge the aspirations of the underprivileged students, nurturing their talents and fanning the flames of their dreams until they blaze into reality. There would be a fashion show with both the privileged and underprivileged children promoting equality.

“The holistic purpose or vision of this mega event is to make a difference in the lives of the underprivileged, their aspirations and their dreams. India is a tremendously gifted country and talent is everywhere. It will be a testament to our collective determination to uplift those less fortunate, the children who deserve the world but face a path strewn with challenges”, added Rev Father Bikash Mondal.

One of the most exciting elements of this musical saga is the prize that awaits the triumphant band. Apart from the cash prize, the winning ensemble will have the incredible opportunity to have their debut single composed and curated by none other than Bollywood's popular Singer, Songwriter & Music Composer, Arko Pravo Mukherjee. Known for his chart-topping hits that have resonated with the masses, Arko's

involvement elevates the stakes of the competition and promises a life-changing journey for the victors. There would be prizes also for the first and second runners up.

The climax of this euphonic adventure will culminate on the 14th January, 2024 with a show-stopping performance by none other than Euphoria, the legendary Indian band that has graced the world with its anthems. Their presence on the grand finale stage is set to be a treat for the senses, a celebration of music's power to unite and inspire.
