The Telegraph Online Edugraph Workshops 2024: Summer Edition concluded its session on a high note. Filled with laughter, learning, and excitement, these workshops had students buzzing with enthusiasm and eagerness over the unforgettable explorations they’ve witnessed. Designed for students aged 8 to 18, the workshops ranged from Vedic Maths, Robotics for Teens, Origami Sundays, Coding for Teens, K-Pop Dance to Photography, Mobile Filmmaking, Speedcubing, Clay Craft and more.

In a rapidly advancing technological landscape, nurturing early interest and proficiency in electronics is more crucial than ever. Basic Electronics was one of a one-of-a-kind workshops conducted by Birla Technological & Industrial Museum, Kolkata. The workshop drew enthusiastic participation from young minds aged 13 to 18. Spanned over 3 days (5th-7th June), the children were introduced to the fundamental concepts of electronics in an engaging and hands-on manner. Under the guidance of an experienced mentor Alpona Ghosh of BITM, the attendees delved into topics ranging from basic electronic components, frequency generator to clap circuit and a lot more.

Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM) in Kolkata, the first science museum in the country under the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, is engaged in popularising and promoting science especially among the youth through various interactive models, exhibitions, educational programmes and activities throughout the year.

BITM facilities are specifically designed to augment the learning curves of the students not only on curricular concepts in basic physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, astronomy, electricity, electronics etc., but also on current topics of interest in science & technology and related social issues.   2. Frequency Generator
  3. Clap Circuit
  4. Make Your Own Piano

Reflecting on the workshop, Alpona Ghosh expressed, “I am thrilled to conduct this workshop. The kids were extremely responsive and took an active interest in science projects. The children have done a great job and I had a lovely time with all of them.”
