This year, the Inter DPS Basketball Tournament for Boys, Zone 4, was a two day showdown held on November 11-12, 2024 at The Eastern Railway Sports Association in Majerhat.
A total of 15 DPS teams from across the region joined the tournament.

This year, the Inter DPS Basketball Tournament for Boys, Zone 4, was a two day showdown held on November 11-12, 2024, at The Eastern Railway Sports Association in Majerhat. A total of 15 DPS teams from across the region joined the tournament, including 11 outstation teams and 4 local schools, making it a dynamic mix of talent and competitive spirit.T

The Prize Distribution Ceremony on November 12 was a grand affair, honoured by the presence of Syed Anam Ali as the Chief Guest. An Eklavya awardee and a prominent figure in the basketball community, Ali was joined by Guest of Honour Amarendra Nayak and Special Guest Binod Rajak – both respected players making impactful strides in Indian basketball.

Over the course of the tournament, players showcased extraordinary skill, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship. In a series of thrilling matches, DPS Digboi clinched the second runner-up spot, while DPS Megacity emerged as the first runner-up. Ultimately, DPS Bokaro triumphed, taking home the winning trophy, with their player Aditya Kumar Singh earning the title of Best Player of the Tournament.

Spectators were treated to a captivating display of basketball mastery, as players demonstrated expert moves like floaters, dribbles, three-pointers, layups, and hook shots. The event not only highlighted the technical skills of the young athletes but also their unwavering dedication and honesty in the game.

The 2024 Inter DPS Basketball Tournament was a resounding success, celebrating teamwork, resilience, and the boundless enthusiasm of the players.
