The ‘Alankrit’ parade of 22 nursing cadets of the 10th batch of the College of Nursing, Command Hospital (Eastern Command) Kolkata was held at Yogendra Singh parade ground on March 21, 2024.

The parade witnessed the presence of Maj Gen Dattakiran Joshi, MG Med, HQ(EC), Maj Gen AK Srivastava, Commandant, Command Hospital (EC), Brig R Ramprasad Dean and Deputy Commandant, Commandant, Col R K Bhatti Principal, College of Nursing, senior officers and proud parents.

Maj Gen Dattakiran Joshi was the reviewing officer of the parade.
Brig Sudharmma Devi P, Brig MNS, HQ (EC) delivered the oath to the newly commissioned Military Nursing Service officers where they pledged to serve the country and mankind in all terrains and circumstances with commitment and compassion.

Rolling trophies, medals, and a cash prize were awarded to Lt Anushri Bisoyi for securing the first position in the final year of WBUHS exam 2023, Lt Riya Raman for best all-round student and Lt Roshni Behera for being the best clinical nurse. The parade commander trophy was awarded to Lt Riya Das for an excellent display of the commissioning parade.

These newly commissioned MNS officers stand posted to military hospitals of the tri forces Army, Air Force, and Navy.

The MSc Trainee officers from the College of Nursing, Lt Col Anu Zackariah, Lt Col Namrata Kriplani and Maj Neelam Chand were also awarded for their meritorious results in WBUHS final exams 2023.
