In a vibrant celebration of Children's Day on November 14, 2023, Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata, under the aegis of the National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, brought forth a day filled with engaging activities.
Simultaneously, BITM honoured the 132nd Birth Anniversary of Professor Birbal Sahni, the pioneer of palaeobotanical research in India.

In a vibrant celebration of Children's Day on November 14, 2023, Birla Industrial & Technological Museum (BITM), Kolkata, under the aegis of the National Council of Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, brought forth a day filled with engaging activities. The festivities included the release of gas balloons adorned with environmentally friendly slogans, a captivating nature trail, a street drama performed by underprivileged children, an open-air science show, a visual quiz focusing on birds, and a screening of films selected for the Goethe-Institut Science Film Festival.

Simultaneously, BITM honoured the 132nd Birth Anniversary of Professor Birbal Sahni, the pioneer of palaeobotanical research in India. The day saw the reverential garlanding of the scientist's bust within the museum premises. A commendable turnout of over 1300 students from notable institutions such as Army Public School, Kolkata, Calcutta Diocesan St. Saviour's School, St. Xavier's College, Jharkhand, Rajdanga Vidyapith, Zenith Institute, K. M. Primary School and the NGO Endeavour (Prochesta) actively participated in the event, enriching the day-long celebration with enthusiasm and curiosity.
