In this interactive workshop hosted at Sri Sri Academy, students aged 8 to 18 embarked on an exciting journey to conquer and unlock the secrets of mathematics.

Tekriwal highlighted, “Vedic Maths is the world’s fastest mental maths system and through it, you can calculate faster even than a calculator.” With this in mind, the participants delved into several key areas of mathematics, discovering new techniques and shortcuts that diminish the fear of math and make it both engaging and accessible:

• Effortless Calculations: Students mastered efficient mental addition techniques, simplifying complex sums into manageable steps. They learned methods to quickly and accurately subtract numbers, reducing errors and enhancing speed. The workshop introduced shortcuts and tricks for easier multiplication, making it less daunting for young learners.
• Fractions Made Fun: Discovered methods to simplify and manipulate fractions with ease.
• Squaring Like a Pro: They learned to use Vedic principles to find squares of numbers in a flash.
• Shape Up Your Skills: They engaged in hands-on shape-building activities that boosted their spatial awareness and problem-solving skills.

“We had a lot of fun and a lot of interactions also happened while we learned how to solve simple sums like 98*97 in less than 5 seconds time,” Tekriwal shared, emphasizing the engaging and interactive nature of the session.

The Vedic Maths Workshop went beyond rote memorization. By learning innovative techniques in a fun way, the children gained a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts, enabling them to approach problems with creativity and confidence.
