Held at the vibrant BITM premises on January 29-30, 2024, the fair revolved around the overarching theme of ‘Science and Technology for Society’, with specific sub-themes ranging from Health, LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), Agriculture, Communication and Transport to Computational Thinking.

The event culminated in a grand Valediction and Prize Distribution ceremony on January 30, 2024, celebrating the ingenuity and creativity of the participants. Students from secondary, higher secondary and undergraduate levels across Kolkata showcased over 50 innovative models, each reflecting a unique blend of scientific acumen and practical application.

Among the standout entries were 'Environment Friendly AC' by Entally Hindu Balika Vidyamandir, 'Solar Panel Tracking System' by Santoshpur Rishi Aurobindo Balika Vidyapith and 'Home Security: An Application of AI/ML' by Birla Institute of Technology. These exemplary institutions have been invited to represent Kolkata at the prestigious West Bengal State Student Youth Science Fair 2023-24, slated to take place at Salt Lake Stadium on February 8-9, 2024.
