Through his remarkable achievements and the founding of the non-governmental organisation (NGO) Nephrohelp, Amey has not only transformed lives but also ignited a movement of support and awareness for those grappling with the condition.

Amey's journey is one of remarkable perseverance and empathy. Overcoming a 15-year-long struggle with Nephrotic Syndrome, he recognised the need for support and resources for children facing similar challenges. "Raising awareness about the condition, especially amongst families coming from rural areas and whose children are suffering from the condition became my mission," shares Amey.

With a zeal for making a tangible difference, Amey founded the NGO Nephrohelp, aiming to provide vital assistance to children from underserved communities. His innovative approach to fundraising, forging partnerships with multinational corporations like Skoda, Volkswagen and Roxx, underscores his determination to create lasting impact. "If a patient gets the correct medicines and correct medical guidance, the nephrotic syndrome condition can be easily treated," he emphasises.

Amey's efforts have been nothing short of transformative. From organising a successful walkathon on World Kidney Day, engaging over 300 participants and raising funds exceeding ₹1.5 lakhs, to co-authoring a comprehensive guide on Nephrotic Syndrome published in Hindi and Bengali, his impact resonates far beyond Kolkata.

"It's about reaching out to those who need it the most," Amey remarks, reflecting on his commitment to providing essential medicines and necessities to hundreds of families.
