Apeejay School Salt Lake and Apeejay School Park Street hosted the third edition of their interschool fest Jai Hind on 11 August and 12 August 2023, respectively. The fest which was held jointly in the previous years, was organised independently by the two schools this season. Twenty-seven CBSE schools across Kolkata collectively participated in the two fests. Themed around celebrating India's 76th Independence Day, students got together for various fun-filled activities including elocution, dancing, stamp designing, debates, band performances, fashion shows, and many more.

Speaking to Edugraph, Anindita Banerjee, Principal of Apeejay School Salt Lake, stated, “(The word) independence can be defined in many ways. It is the independent mentality and the progressive spirit that we seek to hold up. With the different schools coming together, we are sharing ideas that help us grow. The activities themselves also form an essential part of art integration and skill development training, as promoted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and recommended in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.”
