Amity University Kolkata to organise Industry-Academia Conclave on 27 April

Industry-Academia Conclave (IAC) 1.0 titled “Transforming Education in New India: Remediation to bridge the gap between Academia and Industries” is a one-of-its-kind event due to be organised by the Amity University, Kolkata on 27th April 2023 in synergy with Amity Centre for Industry-Academia Collaboration, Kolkata (ACIACK).

ACIACK is a dedicated body geared towards exploring and executing possible avenues of collaboration between the University and the Industry.

The conclave aims to bring together connoisseurs from diverse sectors of the industry and academia to discuss the prime issues and opportunities in transforming the education ecosystem within the current social and economic arena. The intent is to forge partnerships with the industry for placements, internships, academic collaborations, research projects and community outreach programs with a vision of sustainable social development.

The program will commence with the Inauguration at 10:00 am, comprising of the inaugural address by the VC, Prof (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Kumar Srivastava and the address of the Sr. Vice President, Amity Education Group, Sri U. Ramachandran, followed by the felicitation of all the distinguished Guests.

Later, a panel discussion on the topic- ‘Aligning Industry Expectations with Academia through Effective Partnerships’ will be held with CXOs from companies like Texmaco Defense System Pvt. Ltd., Audi-Kolkata, Birla Corporation Ltd., Tata Consultancy Services, CESC Ltd., Emami Paper Mills Ltd., AMRI Hospitals, Cognizant, Titagarh Group, etc.
