Amity University Kolkata's Theatre Club and Event Club, 'Theatrific,' brought the magic of theatre to life on 3rd November 2023. Theatre O Mania 2.0 was a spectacular showcase of the performing arts, leaving the audience utterly captivated. The day was a celebration of storytelling, performance, and boundless creativity, bringing together a diverse range of captivating performances that left the audience mesmerised.

The event commenced with a power-packed inaugural ceremony graced by the presence of the Honourable Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Kolkata, Prof. Dr. Sanjay Kumar. Honourable Vice-Chancellor mesmerised the audience with his emphatic speech where he outlined the objective of this event and said that the event has been specially crafted to provide a cognitive platform to students where they could showcase the bodily and kinesthetic intelligence, visual, spatial, and auditory intelligence, and exhibit the knowledge of rhythmic and tonal patterns of human beings. Yet another intent of the event is to bring forth burning societal issues through theatre and satire and campaign for culture, value, and sanskar-based education to strengthen the moral fabric of youths and build AUK, a gigantic image of distinctiveness. Their presence not only added prestige to the event but also injected enthusiasm into the atmosphere, setting the stage for an unforgettable day.

The festival featured a wide variety of events, showcasing the multifaceted world of the performing arts. The participating colleges brought their A-game, and the competition was fierce. The day was filled with awe-inspiring performances, including Street Play, Stage Play, Mono Act and Stand-Up Comedy. Thought-provoking short films were screened, leaving the audience pondering various themes and ideas.

• 1st Position: "Social Messenger" (NSHM Knowledge Campus Kolkata)

Stage Play:

• 1st Position: "Dramatic Legend" (The Bhawanipur Education Society College)

Mono Act:

• 1st Position: UEMK

Stand-Up Comedy:

• 1st Position: "Comic Kings" (Seth AnandRam Jaipuria College)

Short Film:

• 1st Position: "Cinephilia Creation" (Rabindra Bharati University)
