The theme selected for this year’s International Day of Yoga 2023 is “Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam,” which represents our shared desire for “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” Amity University Kolkata celebrated the International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2023, with great pomp and show.

Furthermore, the day encourages the cultivation of a regular meditation practice to foster mental clarity and self-awareness, essential for thriving in a stress-free environment.
On this auspicious occasion, Dr Sanjay Kumar, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor stated that in Gita, it has been very well articulated that Yoga teaches to do the work skillfully through the line "Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam" He stressed the universalisation of Yoga to make this world absolutely peaceful and spiritually elevated.
