Awards are a special way to recognize students’ outstanding achievement in the academic arena and inculcate healthy competitive spirit among them. To show approval and gratitude for each student’s hard work and perseverance which resulted in the outstanding result in ICSE and ISC 2024, Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan organized Special Awards Ceremony with great fervour on 14th December, 2024 at Agrasain Sabhagar. The programme was divided into two phases where the first phase (9:00 a.m.-12:45 p.m.) was to award the 343 achievers of ICSE 2024 and the second phase (1.45 p.m.-4.15 p.m.) was to acknowledge the extraordinary achievement of 199 pupils of ISC 2024.
The ceremony was graced by the benevolent presence of the dignitaries such as the Chief Guest, Gargi Banerjee, Principal of Sri Sri Academy, Kolkata, who extended a warm greeting to the Agrasanians and Subroto Sinha, President of social welfare organization ‘Geetanjali’ who anticipated Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan to be the best school of Bengal.
Sashi Agarwal and Kalavati Agarwal, Premlata Bansal, wife and sisters of Satyanarayan Agarwal (Deoralia), Chairman, Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan, Abira Das, Principal, Anamika Basu, Vice-Principal, Academics, Debika Sarkar, Vice-Principal, Co-curricular, Arnab Roy Chowdhury, Headmaster of Agrasain Boys’ School, Ram Bilas Agarwal, Member of Agrasain Seva Samity, Representatives of Gurukul and IP Memorial school added splendour to the day's celebration. Dignitaries like S.K. Srivastava, Principal, Kakoli Nag, Vice-Principal (Academics), Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan heightened the charm of the programme with their perpetual presence. Parents of the achievers and the beloved students of the school were heartily welcomed at Agrasain Sabhagar.
The auspicious day began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and garlanding the portraits of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Saraswati, Maharaja Agrasain and Founder Chairman B.D. Tikmany. The function began with a multimedia presentation, summing up the year-round activities and observances commemorated in school, followed by various scintillating cultural performances comprising a medley of seven different languages, dances invoking blessings of Goddess Durga and nurturing the wonders of mother nature.
The audience enjoyed the whole gamut of the cultural programme thoroughly. The sound of clapping resonated across the auditorium with the inauguration of the school magazine, ‘Agravani’.
All the successful candidates of ICSE and ISC 2024 were applauded with memento, gold plated silver medal (10 gm) and pen for their outstanding achievements. Subject toppers were acknowledged with a certificate of appreciation and a gold plated silver medal (20 gm). Besides, Rajya Puraskar awardees were felicitated with mementoes. It was a matter of great pride for Agrasanians to felicitate the students who carried forward the brilliant legacy of success of the school.
The programme was concluded with the felicitation of the teachers who acted as constant support behind the academic excellence of the students. The celebration ended with the thanks giving speech and beats for the National Anthem. The ceremony left an indelible impression on the minds of the audience who remained an eyewitness to it.
