Performing on stage with 500 students is no small feat—it’s almost a miracle. Such an extraordinary event unfolded at Kolkata’s Science City Auditorium on the occasion of the 65th founders’ day of Aditya Birla Bani Bharati School, Rishra, Hooghly.
The extravagant performances by the students left the audience spellbound. Their collective musical and dance performances captivated everyone. The students' rendition of Rabindranath Tagore’s Tasher Desh was so professional that it was hard to believe they were schoolchildren and not seasoned stage performers.

Principal Gautam Sarkar stated, "Our school’s motto is not ‘extra curriculum’ but ‘curriculum.’ Schools must focus on the overall development of children and make them competent from an early age."
"A child’s foundation for growth and overall development begins at their educational institution. Keeping this in mind, our school emphasizes not just academics but also general knowledge, physical fitness, and cultural development," he added.

Pandit Tanmoy Bose encouraged the children by performing with them, leaving the audience mesmerized. Former advisor Ananya Chakraborti Chatterjee emphasized the importance of sports and physical activity for both mental and physical development.
To aid students' aesthetic and mental growth, the institution has consistently gone beyond traditional curriculums, prioritizing extracurricular activities equally. From the primary level, students are trained in arts, dance, music, recitation, drama, and painting. This parallel education system encourages students to discover and develop their unique talents, with teachers playing a crucial role in identifying and fostering individual strengths.
