School of Media and Communication (SoMC), Adamas University had hosted a three-day extravaganza, "Xpressions", the first dynamic national media fest. It celebrated the true vibrancy of creativity, talent, and innovation in the campus. This event was conducted from November 7- 9, which showcased an array of events including a Ramp Show, Photography Competition, Ad Film Showcase, Poster Making, and Reel Making.

Ramp Show Competition was the showstopper among all the events which was a culmination of fashion enthusiasts, designers, and models to create a mesmerising display of style and creativity. The theme was "Seasons", with an eclectic blend of traditional and contemporary designs, the ramp show captivated the audience and left a lasting impression. “Xpressions” had truly expressed the talents of students in spheres of Photography Competition, the art of Poster Making and Reel Making. The Open Mic Competition gave an opportunity to students to register their voices and express their heart. Over 340 participants in and around West Bengal had participated in these competitions from 20 higher education institutions.

Nukkad Natak on Media Saksharta Abhiyan was an icing on cake and was praised by all. Snehasish Sur, President, Press Club, Kolkata remarked, “This is one of a kind event and such events are necessary for spreading media literacy”. Prof. Suranjan Das, Vice Chancellor, Adamas University said, “Media is the fourth estate of democracy, events like Media Fest not only contribute towards academia but it also contributes towards the society at large”. SoMC’s Associate Dean, Dr. Akashdeep Muni, said, “Adamas University looks forward to host media professionals, students, and art enthusiasts to the next year of “Xpressions” on a much larger scale.” Dignitaries included Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Shauvik Roy Chowdhury, Pro-Vice Chancellors Prof. Naveen Das, Prof. (Dr.) Radha Tamal Goswami and Prof. (Dr.) Ankita Chakravarty Bhattacharya Senior Vice President-Chancellor’s Office and Deans and Directors of the university.
"Xpressions" had not only been an event; it has also been a platform for students, artists, and creative minds to come together, exchange ideas, and celebrate the diverse forms of expressions. The fest aimed to foster a spirit of innovation, pushing the boundaries of conventional art and media. Let the creativity flow, and let the world see the power of artistic expressions.
