The daylong summit on ‘Innovation in Higher Education: Beyond Boundaries’ was aimed at introducing students to various career opportunities in healthcare, business, media, engineering, law, science and liberal arts.

“The vision of the university is to become an internationally recognised institution of higher learning through excellence and innovation in education and research. The summit aimed at bridging boundaries in education through global exposure to knowledge, expanding research and development, and engaging with diverse people.

“The university wants to focus on five strategic key objectives. First, the experience of international students at the University of Warsaw. I am looking forward to meeting students who will come to the University of Warsaw for exchange programmes. Second, we have research and innovation going on. Third is education and academic opportunities given to students and staff members to engage with international institutions for personal and professional development. Fourth is international engagement and creating impact strategy where students are educated and informed to become responsible global citizens and alumni. Fifth, international reputation, stakeholder engagement and income generation,” said Aleksandra Jaskolska of University of Warsaw.

Adamas convocation

Adamas University hosted its fifth graduation ceremony for the 2020 and 2021 batches at the APJ Abdul Kalam Convention Centre on April 23.

“Adamas University has a lot to offer to students. We have 10 schools of studies offering 73 programmes. We have implemented an outcome-based education system to provide interdisciplinary and project-based experiential learning,” said Samit Ray, chancellor of Adamas University.

More than 1,000 undergraduate, postgraduate, MPhil and PhD students from various departments were awarded their degrees and medals during the convocation.

“Today the students have officially turned into leaders who will build the country’s future with the skills they have gained here. They will have the ability to foresee and prevent problems and solve them with scientific approaches. I congratulate each and every one of you for the sleepless nights, your great efforts and your sacrifices to receive the degrees from Adamas University,” said Yusuf Baran of Izmir Institute of Technology.
