Introducing Chapter ll of The Telegraph Online Edugraph's 18 Under 18 Awards, which celebrates and honors 18 outstanding young achievers from Eastern India under the age of 18. With this programme, we hope to identify young talent in a variety of fields and encourage students to keep pursuing their aspirations.

The 18 under 18 Awards Chapter ll, presented by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, is set to be even greater than the previous year's event.

We are happy to announce that this year we have 9 jury members from various fields & professions to bring out & celebrate the best talents from Chapter II of 18 Under 18 Awards. Let’s take a look below!

1. Anupam Roy, Singer & Musician

Anupam Roy is a National Film Award-winning singer, songwriter and music director. From Amake Amar Moto in Autograph to the Journey Song in Piku, this singer-composer is the sound and voice of a generation.

2. Dibyendu Barua, Chess Grandmaster

Dibyendu Barua is India’s second chess Grandmaster. He has won the National Championships thrice and is a recipient of the Arjuna Award. He is the director of the Dibyendu Barua Chess Academy.

"I thank the management for selecting me for the second time as one of the Jury Members for The Telegraph Edugraph 18 Under 18 Awards Chapter II. It was a tough job to select the best as all the candidates are bright, talented, vibrant and focused. I appreciate this initiative and I am sure that this award will inspire and motivate them to excel in the future," said chess maestro Dibyendu Barua

3. Kunal Basu, Author & Professor

Kunal Basu has authored seven novels and a collection of stories in English, and four novels in Bengali. His latest novel, In an Ideal World, spotlights the India of today. A painter and a photographer, he also teaches at the University of Oxford.

'I have been struck by the depth and variety of talent manifested by the young participants over the past two years. Their passion really came through in their presentations, and it bodes very well for the flourishing contributions they are likely to make as adults in not too distant a future', said Mr. Kunal Basu

4. Paoli Dam, Actor

Paoli Dam is a leading actress on screens big and small, in languages Bengali and Hindi, and of formats film and web series. From Kaalbela and Mahanayak to Bulbbul and The Great Indian Murder, Paoli is quite the trailblazer.

5. Dona Ganguly, Dancer

Dona Ganguly is a noted Odissi dancer who received training from guru Giridhari Nayak and guru Kelucharan Mahapatra. She has performed at cultural festivals across the country and the world and has a dance school called Diksha Manjari.

6. Ramanjit Kaur, Thespian

Ramanjit Kaur is an award-winning theatre and film actor and director. Founder and director of The Creative Arts Academy, an art institute in Kolkata, Kaur have performed at festivals in India and across the world.

7. Ranadeep Moitra, Fitness Expert

Ranadeep Moitra is the founder of Endorphins Corrective Studio in Kolkata. This former Indian cricketer has devoted his life to rehabilitation and fitness and was the first Indian to get an internationally recognised Strength and Conditioning degree.

8. Deep Dasgupta, Cricketer

Deep Dasgupta is a former India cricketer and former captain of the Bengal team. A wicketkeeper-batsman, Dasgupta was the second captain to lead the Bengal team to two successive Ranji Trophy finals. He is now a cricket commentator on television.

9. Ambarish Dasgupta, Management Consultant

A seasoned management consultant with more than 30 years of experience, Ambarish Dasgupta has held leadership positions in PwC and KPMG. A senior partner and founder of Intueri Consulting, Dasgupta is a member of the strategic planning and program implementation board of the West Bengal Government and Principal Advisor to the State Government Department of IT and Technology.

"I could not objectively differentiate between such talented young kids. Honestly, I felt it was really cruel of me to try to judge them. I tried my best but certainly, none of them should feel disappointed as they are all very accomplished," said industry veteran Ambarish Dasgupta
