More than 3 lakh candidates are expected to write the Teachers Eligibility Test (TET), through which applicants are shortlisted for appointment in government-aided primary schools (Classes I to V), on December 24.

Metro Railway will run additional trains on Sunday for the benefit of the examinees.
The test was originally scheduled for December 10. But the government deferred it to December 24 because of issues related to logistics.
