XLRI announces cut-off for XAT for business management and human resources management

The country’s oldest B-school XLRI- Xavier School of Management on Wednesday announced the cut-off marks for the Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2024 for PG courses in business management (BM) and human resources management (HRM) at its campuses in Jamshedpur and Delhi NCR.

The results of XAT 2024 were declared on January 20.

According to information released by the Jesuit institution, for the Human Resource Management program, the overall cut-off for male engineering candidates is 95 percentile (an increase from 93 last year) while that for female engineering students is 90 percentile (a decrease from 91 last year). Male applicants from a non-engineering background require a 93 percentile (an increase from 90 last year) and women from a non-engineering background must have an 88 percentile.

For the BM program, the overall cut-off for male engineering candidates is 96 percentile (an increase from 95 last year) while that for female engineering students is 91 percentile (a decrease from 92 last year). Male applicants from a non-engineering background require a 95 percentile and women from a non-engineering background must have 90 percentile (a reduction from 92 last year).

Continuing with its tradition to encourage women’s education, XLRI has lowered the cut-off for women candidates as compared to men. The overall cut-offs for the female applicants in both programs have been lowered.

“XLRI believes in the transformative power of diversity and inclusivity. By lowering the cutoffs for female candidates, we seek to create a more balanced and representative learning environment that aligns with our vision of a progressive and inclusive society,” said convenor of XAT 2024 and a senior faculty Rahul Shukla.

“Furthermore, in adherence to its social responsibility, XLRI has allocated lower cutoffs for candidates from underprivileged communities. This affirmative step reiterates XLRI’s commitment to societal upliftment and its dedication to nurturing responsible and socially conscious leaders,” added Shukla.
