The results of the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) 2024 were announced on June 6.

Who were the top 10 achievers at WBJEE 2024?

• All India Rank 1: Kingshuk Patra, Bankura Zilla School, Bankura (West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education).

• All India Rank 2: Shubhradeep Paul, Kalyani University Experimental High School, Kalyani, North 24 Parganas (West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education).

• All India Rank 3: Bibaswan Biswas, Bishop Morrow School, Krishnanagar, Nadia (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations).

• All India Rank 4: Irradri Basu Khaund, Darjeeling Public School, Fulbari, Siliguri (Central Board of Secondary Education).

• All India Rank 5: Mayukh Chowdhury, South Point High School, Kolkata (Central Board of Secondary Education).

• All India Rank 6: Ritam Banerjee, Tribeni Tissues Vidyapeeth, Chandrahati, Hooghly (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations).

• All India Rank 7: Avik Das, MC William Higher Secondary School, Alipurduar (West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education).

A total of 1,42,694 candidates registered for the exam, with 1,13,492 candidates appearing. Out of these, 1,12,963 passed the exam, showing an increase in the pass rate to 99.53 percent compared to 99.37 percent in 2023. The number of candidates who took the exam included 79,025 men and 34,467 women.

Additionally, students from Andaman, Daman and Diu, and Jammu and Kashmir participated in the exam this year.
