Summary
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a warning for universities and colleges
This warning has come as a delay in the announcement of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has issued a warning for universities and colleges that if they fail to refund the “entire fees” of candidates who are looking forward to migrate from one institution to another amid the admission process, they will also be losing their eligibility to get funds from the Commission alongside their university affiliations.

This warning has come as a delay in the announcement of Common University Entrance Test (CUET) results which held up the admission procedure of this year, triggering anxious students to get admitted at private institutes. CUET was held by the National Testing Agency for the first time for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions at the central universities of the country. With the results being announced on 16 September there are a few students who are now looking forward to migrating from central universities. These students are also being imposed upon with financial penalties of the private institutes in violation of a UGC order.

The UGC on Tuesday confirmed that it is compulsory for educational institutions to follow its August 2022 directive triggering them to grant a “full refund” of fees in case of admission cancellation or even migration of students up to 31 October.
