The National Testing Agency (NTA) has rescheduled the announcement of the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET December 2023) results to January 17, 2024. This adjustment is in response to the impact of Cyclone Michaung in Chennai and Andhra Pradesh.

Initially set for January 10, the UGC NET 2023 result date was extended due to a re-exam conducted for candidates affected by the natural calamity. A total of 9,45,918 candidates from 292 cities, who appeared for 83 subjects, will now be able to check their qualifying status on the official website, ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Candidates are urged to stay updated by visiting the NTA official website and can seek assistance through NTA helpline numbers - 011-40759000/ 69227700.

The examination, held from December 6 to 19, covered 83 subjects in 292 cities. The answer key, response sheet, and question paper for all subjects, except Archaeology, were released on January 3. For Archaeology, candidates can raise objections until January 10 on ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

Following the marking scheme, correct responses will earn candidates 2 marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
