The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has opened registration for round 2 of NEET PG counselling 2024 today, December 4. This development coincides with the Supreme Court’s sixth deferment of petitions concerning transparency in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for postgraduate (NEET PG 2024).
How to Register for NEET PG Round 2 Counselling 2024
As per the revised schedule, fresh registration for round 2 will be available from December 4 to December 12, until noon. Notably, choices filled in the first round will not carry forward and are considered null and void. Candidates must select their preferred colleges and courses afresh for this round.
The window for choice submission will open tomorrow, December 5, with candidates having five days to fill and lock their choices. The MCC will declare round 2 seat allotments on December 12. The same day marks the commencement of the round 2 counselling process for NEET PG state counselling.

Key Update for NRI Candidates
Recently, MCC allowed candidates to request a change in nationality from Indian to NRI. Applicants were required to email their request and supporting documents to nri.adgmemcc1@gmail.com by 10AM on December 1.
Despite progress in the counselling process, many NEET PG aspirants are concerned about the delay in legal proceedings. Pending cases in the Supreme Court and high courts concerning transparency in the exam continue to loom over the admissions process.
Post-allotment, candidates must report to their allotted colleges between December 13 and 20. Verification of joined candidates will occur from December 21 to 22, finalising the round 2 process.
