The National Testing Agency (NTA) will initiate the second round of the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) on 6 April. The JEE Main session 2 exam will be held for BE and BTech papers, or paper 1, BArch (paper 2A) and BPlanning (paper 2B) papers. 

It must further be noted that there will be a JEE Main 2023 negative marking for Section A and Section B for all the three subjects. While four marks will be given for each correct answer, one mark will further be deducted for every wrong answer given.

As per the JEE Main 2023 marking scheme, if more than one answer is found to be correct then four marks will be granted to only the ones who have marked any of the correct options. Whereas for questions where every option is found to be correct then four marks will be granted to those who have attempted the question.

In case none of the options from JEE Main 2023 question paper is found correct for a question or a question is found to be wrong or is dropped then full marks will be granted to the applicants who appeared for the examination. Applicants hereby must also note that for questions unanswered in JEE Main 2023 and marked for review, no marks will be granted. ​​The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of NTA scores secured by the applicant in these two sessions and the best of the two will be taken into consideration.
