The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education offering basic education and vocational courses via Open and Distance Learning (ODL). The official authorities of NIOS have extended the registration dates for their secondary (10th) and senior secondary (12th) examinations for the academic year 2023. The last date to register on the official website is 31 July 2022. Also, candidates appearing for the examination must note that there’s no late registration fee applicable for applications submitted before the given date.
How To Register For NIOS Examination?
Candidates who are eligible for the secondary and senior secondary examinations can follow the below instructions to register for the NIOS examination.
Step 1: Visit the official website of NIOS.
Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on ‘Admission’.
Step 3: Click on the ‘Academic’ option.
Step 4: Select ‘Stream 1(APRIL 2023)’
Step 5: The admission form will be displayed on the screen.
Step 6: Enter all the required information and click ‘Submit’.
Step 7: Fill out the admission form and upload the requisite documents.
Step 8: Pay the registration fee and submit the application form.
Step 9: After successful registration and submission of the form, download it as a PDF and take a printout as well for future reference.
Documents Required For NIOS Registration
Candidates appearing for class 10th and 12th Examination at the NIOS must have the following documents during registration.
Students who haven't finished their online registrations yet are urged to submit their applications as soon as possible, preferably by July 31 2022. It is important to note that candidates who fail to meet this deadline will have to pay a late registration fee and apply. A late fee of INR 200 will be applicable from 1 August and 15 August 2022 and will be increased to INR 400 for those registering between 16 August and 31 August 2022.
