The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has uploaded a revised counselling brochure for NEET PG 2024, now available on its official website (mcc.nic.in). The revised brochure adds significant details about the Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) counselling process and updated eligibility conditions for aspirants.
The MCC had formally announced the NEET PG 2024 counselling schedule on November 1. Candidates looking to register for round one of the counselling must complete the process by November 17, 2024.
AFMS Counselling Priorities and Eligibility Guidelines
In line with the policy changes introduced in a June 26, 2024, letter from the Directorate General Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS), the MCC will handle AFMS counselling for Priority III, IV, and V candidates applying to AFMS PG Teaching Institutes.

AFMS PG Institutes: Eligibility Conditions for Civilians
AFMS PG Teaching Institutes are primarily intended to train in-service medical officers of the Armed Forces Medical Services to meet the organisation’s specialist needs. Civilian doctors gaining admission to MD, MS, or DNB programmes at these institutions are required to serve a five-year tenure as Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSC) within AFMS.
